Ford lgt 100 parts diagram

Jan 08, 2017  I have a Ford LGT100 which is the 10hp version. Yes.they are collectable. There is an interest group on Yahoo that has ads/tips and that sort of thing. I don't remember the actual web address but if you went to Yahoo and searched for 'Ford Lawn and Garden Tractors' I'm sure you could find it. This auto-run menu driven disc (CD) contains a OE service manual for the following FORD tractors: LGT Models: 100 120 125 145 165 195. These are the drive shaft driven tractors, not belt driven. Kohler engine manual included too. This is a great manual fully illustrated. You can print and exact copy, browse or just view any or all pages from the source code on the disc. Are you a Ford guy or gal? Or, a classic tractor collector? If so, you’ll want this for your collection. This is a Ford LGT 120 Tractor made between 1972 and 1983; the seller doesn’t give a year for this particular tractor. This tractor is located in Millport, New York and it’s in original condition.

Are you a Ford guy or gal? Or, a classic tractor collector? Or, both? If so, you’ll want this for your collection. This is a Ford LGT 120 Tractor made between 1972 and 1983; the seller doesn’t give a year for this particular tractor. This tractor is located in Millport, New York and it’s in original condition. It will be fun to tinker with this tractor for a weekend or two and then either use it, or spend more time and restore it and then show it at an antique tractor show near you! You’ll be able to get new decals if you plan on restoring it. And, who among us classic vehicle lovers wouldn’t rather have an older tractor like this rather than a new one? All kinds of people like these older Ford garden tractors.

The 120 model had, as you may have guessed, a 12-horsepower engine. Kohler made the engines for these tractors and that 12 hp should be more than enough power to mow your lawn and/or either plow your driveway or blow the snow away with the available Ford 48″ plow or 42″ snowblower. Top speed was a little over 6 mph so it’s a bit faster than your walk-behind mower. There are four forward and one reverse gears on this tractor.

I know, this may seem like a weird post for the Barn Finds website, but hear me out: it’s original, it’s a survivor, it’s obviously barn/farm-related, and it’s something small, inexpensive, and easy enough to perfect your restoration skills on. Not to mention that there are a lot of tractor and Ford collectors that would want this for their collection, so don’t write it off too quickly. It’s listed on Craigslist in Millport, New York for “$500 or best reasonable offer.” That sounds like a good deal to me. Are you into tractors and other farm-related collectibles like this little garden tractor?

What is the ball park value of a Ford LGT 145 Garden Tractor anything special. I don't remember seeing any around here. I have one to get rid of.

I run a LGT 165 which is the same except for the 16 HP Kohler. There are people that use/collect the tractors. Some parts are available from New Holland however, many are not. The real deal is the deck, if you are going to use it to mow. I bought two parts tractors a couple years back for $400. They were 'not running but would run'. The deal for me was one had a deck with it, in excellent condition.
Good running conditon maybe $1000, excellent condition $???? -the thing is one can always lower the price if it does not sell.

Like other similar H-D units they have a small but cult following. They are a tough sell outside of that group. . Assuming bare tractor $500, attachments add a lot, Local dealer had one sitting on the lot for several years at $1500, took it to a consignment auction non-running and got $250.

They are excellent tractors and there are people who collect them.
Having said that, you just have to find one of those guys.
I bought an LGT-145 about 15 years ago with a 2-stage snowblower, a nice mower deck and the rare 3 point hitch option for $375. However, the engine was really whipped. I sold the blower alone for $200 and could have probably gotten more. If your tractor runs well and has a good solid deck, I would guess it will bring $500 or more. These tractors usually outlast the mower decks so finding a good solid deck is not so easy anymore.
About 2 months ago I bought a Jacobsen GT-14 Hydro (same basic tractor) for $200.
It has a single stage snowblower (in ruff shape) but no deck.
The grille is missing but it does have the rare rear PTO option.
The engine runs very well so I will probably put it on the Ford.
So.....a nice solid deck is the key to getting a good price and.....if you happen to have any one of the much sought after attachements such as the 3PH, rear PTO, 2-stage snowblower or rear tiller, the value will be much more.

I don't think any one here can make a offer we are on record for it is worth....eh? The deck bearings can be sourced at any bearing supply house - I replaced all six of mine in 1996 when I bought it.

Take a few pictures of it. Then use the best one and place it in the Photo Ads right here on this site. Look to the left and toward the top of this page. You can also put it on your local Craigs list and use all the pictures you took.
With the engine in a box you will have a tough time getting much for it unless the rest is in truly excellent shape. Pricing tractors in that condition is tough, especially since we have not seen it. Ones guys 'good' is another's ROUGH! Engine in a box really hurts the value no matter if all there or not. Pricing it too high will result in zero interest or offers as will 'best offer' type ads, you need to price it. A wild guess? Ask $300 and if offered 250 grab it quickly but that is not from intimate knowledge of that brand, just garden tractors in general. Good luck!

I am close enough to come get it, but what you have is basically a 'basket case' tractor. With the motor being out of it, there are probably parts missing. Without it running, we don't know if the transmission works or not. You are talking about a tractor that is around 40+ years old from a manufacturer that no longer is in that business. They were built for Ford by Jacobson, but parts are extremely hard to find. That being said, I would be interested at $100.00 but no more than that. I would have another $50.00 in fuel alone to pick it up. Then there is my time involved. Fixed up and running you are looking at a $500-600 dollar mower.

Thanks. I know what the options are, I just threw that out there in case there was some interest. Didn't know if it was really scarce or not.

I bought my LGT 120 for $50 non-running, damaged (bent) deck. Got it running for the cost of the drive belt. Love it. Would I pay $500 for it? Probably not.
Anyone got any pics of that 3point setup?
