1. Check voltage between terminal 1 and 3 of brake inhibit relay and body ground. PREPARATION:

Wiring

Remove the brake inhibit relay from the connector. CHECK:

a. Turn the ignition switch ON.

b. Measure the voltage between terminal 1 of brake inhibit relay harness side connector and body ground.

voltage: 10-14 V CHECK:

Measure the voltage between terminal 3 of brake inhibit relay harness side connector and body ground when the brake pedal is depressed.

voltage: 8-14 V

NG: Check and repair harness or connector. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP

b. Check continuity between terminals.

3. Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between BRAKE INHIBIT RELAY AND SKID CONTROL ECU .

NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.

OK: If the same code is still output after the DTC is deleted, check the contact condition of each connection. If the connections are normal, the ECU may be defective.

1. Check tire size.

NG: Replace tires so that all 4 tires are the same in size. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP

2. Check speed sensor (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION DTC C0200 / 31 - C0215 / 34 SPEED SENSOR CIRCUIT ).

NG: Replace speed sensor.

OK: Check and replace skid control ECU.

DTC C1340 / 48: CENTER DIFF. LOCK CIRCUIT

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

This circuit is sending the signal to the ECU by detecting that the transfer center differential is in the 'LOCK' condition.
